Welcome! I’m Kali, a Kindergarten Teacher and STEM Club Coordinator from sunny Florida.
I’m so glad that you’re here! It’s safe to say that I’ve always been somewhat of a geek. Growing up, I had a mild obsession with Roller Coaster Tycoon, owned more Pokemon cards than I could count, and was fascinated by the things I could build with my Legos and K’Nex. Even as an adult, tech and geeky things intrigue me and remain a huge part of my everyday life.
So naturally, once I became comfortable in my classroom, I looked for ways to integrate my love of all things STEM. Using things like STEM explorations to programmable robots to iPad apps, I plan to equip my students with the 21st century skills they need.
I have a passion for finding new technology for my students, and I think no matter what kind of teacher you are, your students are in the back of your mind always. So when I’m not at school, I’m chatting with educators on Twitter, scrolling through cute classroom photos on Instagram, and attending ed tech conferences. And when, I’m not researching ed tech…you’ll probably find me in Disney World! (One of the perks of living in Florida) 🙂
